The Perfumes Packaging Stage: From Filled Bottle to Carton

Filled bottles are not finished until they are packed. The packaging stage, where bottles are overwrapped in cartons or film, is often treated as an afterthought in fragrance planning. Yet it sets the pace for the whole line, and a mismatch here can leave filled bottles waiting on a conveyor while the filler keeps running.

Three Levels of Overwrapping

Overwrapping machines for perfume bottles come in three forms: manual, semi-automatic and servo-driven. Manual units suit brands with low volumes and hand-packed operations. Semi-automatic models reduce the labour per bottle while keeping an operator in the loop. Servo overwrappers handle the highest output and keep pace with an automatic filling line. A perfumes packaging machine should be chosen for the volume it will actually run, not the volume the business hopes to reach in a distant year.

Matching the Packer to the Filler

A perfume packing machine works best when it is planned together with the filler. The perfume filling line on Phoenix's website is offered as a set of connected stations, including an automatic perfume filling, crimping and collar fitting machine, a roll-on filling line and a pocket perfume filling line. Each station has its own speed, and the slowest one sets the output of the whole line. Upstream, perfume storage tanks and perfume tanks decide how fast compound reaches the perfumes filling machine, so the tanks belong in the same calculation.

Supporting Equipment Between the Stations

Belt conveyors of 1 to 7 metres carry bottles from filling to crimping and then to packaging. Bottle leak detectors catch faulty fills before cartons are closed, which saves packaging material and avoids rework. An airjet bottle cleaner upstream clears residue from bottles before they reach the filler. Adding these stations costs little compared with the cost of a jam or a batch of rejected cartons.

Practical Questions Before You Buy

How many bottle sizes will be packed, and do they share a format? Will the carton or film change often? Is there space for a conveyor between the filler and the packer? A supplier that answers these questions with specific figures is easier to work with than one who quotes a single headline speed. Phoenix's product pages list the filling and overwrapping options, and the tanks that feed them, so the full line can be planned in one conversation.
